About Zoltan

I’ve studied mechatronics during my BSc at Budapest University of Technology. It was this time I’ve participated an international summer course about bio-signals which drove me towards MedTech. I moved to Sweden and got a MSc degree in medical engineering at KTH Royal Institute, Stockholm. Before joining the PROTrEIN program I worked two and a half years as an embedded software engineer for medical devices in Cambridge, UK.

My PhD project involves the development of software solutions for real time control of MS instruments and the integration of those solutions with analysis tools. The goal is to enable analysis of MS scans followed by customized acquisitions at real time. The project also aims to evaluate algorithms to enhance parameters of peptide fragmentation.

I don’t really have a favorite dish, but I definitely like thai curry.

In my free time I like to play and listen to music, read and since the pandemic I’ve also got into gardening.
